PREAH VIHEAR: Built on a promontory of the Dangrek Range, 625m above the sea level, PRASAT PREAH VIHEAR (the temple of the sacred mountain) as it is locally known represents a unique example of the integration of a temple complex with the natural landscape.

Preah Vihear, an Angkorian monument, is a testimony of great architectural masterpiece of Khmer engineering which offers an unparallel symbiosis of civil engineering and landscaping. Built in the 9th century, stands as a unique architectural composition of master builders of Angkor Empire judging from its conception. Execution and by its elaborate Gopuras and massive monumental staircases. Famously recognized as a religious headquarters, a pilgrim has to ascend the cliff of Preah Vihear through connected spiritual paths to worship Shiva as the lord of the peak(Shikharesvara): an ancient view which compares this temple as Kailasha and the Dongrek range as the Himalaya of Angkor. while Preah Vihear represents a court of Shiva.



-Departure from Siem Reap in the early morning and the journey is taking about up to three hours and a half to reach the area.

-Touring at the temple more or less of three hours there

-Visit the last stronghold of Khmer rough in the late afternoon.

-Return to Siem Reap city for the end of the tour
